About the size of a grain of rice, the microchip is inserted just beneath the skin between your pet’s shoulder blades during a routine consultation. Each microchip contains a unique identification number linked to your contact details on a national database.

Found a lost pet?
If you’ve found a lost dog or cat, bring them into Sandy Paws Vet and we’ll happily scan them for a microchip. If they’re registered, we’ll contact the owner and help reunite them with their pet.
